Happy Monday, friends!

The deadline to submit proposals for talks and workshops at Support Driven Expo Americas is in one week, on Monday, March 18. If you haven’t submitted yet, we would be so excited to hear from you!

Expo Americas is a multi-track event, with several rooms of action-oriented talks and workshops to choose from at any time. We have a diverse group of speakers already, but there’s plenty of room for more.

Every day in our Slack channels, community members engage each other in supportive conversation, asking for help and sharing knowledge, skills, and resources. Did you start a thread that people were excited to participate in? Maybe that topic could be a workshop! Did you notice someone who really rocked an answer to your question? Suggest that they give a talk! Is there something about your job that you love to nerd out on? We want to hear about it!

If you’re interested but having trouble thinking of a topic, here’s a list of the still-very-relevant themes from last year’s Expo to help inspire you:

  • Essentials of support
  • Moving to management
  • Running the support department
  • Customer success
  • Support engineering
  • Support communities
  • Knowledge management
  • Company culture
  • Working with data
  • Career development
  • Future of support

I shared all the details for applying in the Apply Now to Speak at SD Expo Americas post —including expectations, what you’ll get as a speaker, and how to apply—if you need a refresher. (You’ll find more topic ideas there, too!) Or head to the speaker application right away!

If you’d like to run an idea by me or just need some encouragement, please ping me (@elsbeth) in Slack any time. And, know that we’ve got some incredible Editors lined up to support you in developing a talk or workshop you’ll be excited and confident to share.

All of your voices are what makes Support Driven the active, engaged community that it is—we want to hear from you. You’ve got this!

P.S. — Tickets for Support Driven Expo Americas are available now. Purchase your ticket here. The conference will be July 11-12, 2019 in Portland, Oregon, USA.
